RecogWord (English version) app for iPhone and iPad

RecogWord is developed for the purpose of allowing children to use the Text-To-Speech on their iPad to practice spelling of the words intend to learn. There are two versions of this app, the English and Mandarin language version. This is the English version. I have used this app personally to generate my daughters interest in learning spelling. She is currently in the lower primary in Singapore.

The text will be highlighted in "red" during reading. In the "Test" mode, a screen will appear to allow user to repeat the words, pause, change the time interval between words and so on.

As it is based on the Text-to-Speech technology, it may not be as natural as a pre-recorded voice of a person. In some instances, the words pronounced may be slightly off or not clear.
